Occupational therapists focus on the occupations of daily living. We look at all the basic self care tasks aka activities of daily living (ADLs) that may need changes in how we perform the tasks safer as our needs change. We also look at the IADLs or instrumental activities of daily living such as driving, meal prep, bill paying, and shopping. We focus on overall functional tasks that help one function within their environment.
